Arturo Galvan currently serves as Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at the University of Texas at El Paso. He is also the Principal Tuba of the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra and formerly held the same position with the West Texas Symphony Orchestra and Big Spring Symphony Orchestra. 

Alongside his orchestral experience, Arturo is an active chamber musician. He performs with the sAge Low Brass Quartet and previously with the Lone Star Brass Quintet, ensembles that have appeared throughout Texas.
Arturo has earned recognition in several prestigious competitions, including the Georgia MTNA Young Artist Competition, the Southern Division MTNA Solo Competition, and the International Leonard Falcone Euphonium and Tuba Festival.

He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi a Master of Music in Tuba Performance from Columbus State University and a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from the University of Georgia. 

Caleb Harris is a low brass instrumentalist, clinician, and private instructor based in the Atlanta Metro Area. He earned his Master’s in Music Performance from Columbus State University under the tutelage of Dr. Alex Avila. In 2020, Caleb earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music from Valdosta State University under the instruction of Drs. Danny Rowland and Charlie Goodman.

Caleb teaches low brass students privately throughout Gwinnett, Fulton, and Forsyth counties through the Atlanta Music Academy, Johns Creek Presbyterian Church Academy of Fine Arts, and his own Harris Brass Academy. Currently, he plays second baritone in the Georgia Brass Band, performs with the Sequence Quartet, and leads the Sugarloaf Polka Band. Formerly, he was the principal euphonium of Tara Winds.

  "B-Side" is a collaborative artist recital by Arturo Galvan and Caleb Harris, showcasing emerging composers alongside works by well-known composers whose pieces are not often performed by tuba or euphonium players. The program features music by Astor Piazzolla, Florence Price, Harald Ramm Haughland, and Saskia Apon.
