McAllen High School Band – McAllen, Texas
The McAllen High School Band, located in McAllen, Texas, has a long-standing tradition of excellence in musicianship, performance, and student leadership. With a history spanning decades, the McHi band program has consistently earned top ratings at UIL concert and marching evaluations while fostering a culture of pride, discipline, and artistic growth within the Rio Grande Valley community.
This performance marks the debut appearance of the McAllen High School Tuba–Euphonium Ensemble, showcasing the depth and versatility of the program’s low brass students and their commitment to chamber music and ensemble artistry.

The brass program is led by George Sanchez, a proud graduate and product of McAllen ISD. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) and is an active member of the International Tuba Euphonium Association (ITEA). Mr. Sanchez is dedicated to developing confident musicians and continuing the tradition of excellence at McAllen High School.
