Eduardo Nogueroles (1972) combines performance, teaching, composition, and conducting. He is Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Valencia, a member of the Spanish Tuba Quartet, part of the executive team of the Spanish Tuba and Euphonium Association (AETYB), and an Eastman Performing Artist.
He completed advanced studies in tuba, conducting, composition, and contemporary music at several institutions, including the conservatories of Madrid and Perpignan, Arizona State University, the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and the Royal School of Music, under the guidance of renowned teachers such as Miguel Moreno, Mel Culbertson, Sam Pilafian, Harvey Phillips, Tomás Gilabert, Andrés Zarzo, and Ferrer Ferran.
A prizewinner in various performance competitions, he was a member of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra and has collaborated with prestigious ensembles such as the RTVE Symphony Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Catalonia, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía Orchestra, and the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, among many others. Since 1996, he has given masterclasses worldwide, performed regularly as a tuba soloist, and recorded the albums Escenas Latinas, Una mirada atrás, and Rock & Tuba.
He has served as principal conductor of the bands of San Miguel de Oia, Vilafamés, Aldaia, Villar del Arzobispo, and Alboraia, with whom he has won several competition awards and recorded albums such as Sensacions and Begin the Beguine. He is currently in demand as a guest conductor with various ensembles.
A founding president of the Spanish Tuba and Euphonium Association (AETYB), he has also served as an international representative of the International Tuba and Euphonium Association (ITEA) and has been a jury member for numerous performance and composition competitions, including those organized by the Spanish General Society of Authors and the Jeunesses Musicales of Spain.
His music is performed worldwide, recorded on numerous CDs, and has received several awards and commissions from prestigious ensembles and international soloists. His works—published by the Valencia Provincial Council, Rivera Editores, Opera Prima, Branfor, Pinnacle Brass, and Potenza Music (USA)—include pieces for solo instruments, chamber music, choir, wind band, orchestra, and musical theatre. He is also co-author of Brass School, a method for brass instruments (Bromera and Algar), and author of 18 Basic Routines for Brass Instruments (Amazon).
