BIOGRAPHY
The University of Texas Tuba Euphonium Ensemble is comprised of tuba and euphonium studio members from the Sarah and Ernest Butler School of Music at The University of Texas at Austin from both the undergraduate and graduate level. The ensemble has garnered international attention with their famed recording of the traditional hymnal Down in the River to Pray arranged for the studio by David Gluck. Currently, this recording has amassed over 2 million views across various social media platforms. Much of the ensemble’s repertoire centers around featuring both current and previous students to showcase the immense talent available at The University of Texas at Austin. Each student within the studio studies with Professor Charles Villarrubia and this ensemble is conducted by Ethyn Evans.
